Beds Are Burning captures the band's socially conscious message and activism against Australian politics. It was written as a criticism of how poorly Aboriginal communities were being treated by the government. It was also chosen as one of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that 'Shaped Rock and Roll'. Our image features a world map and dollhouse beds that were set ablaze and engulfed by a real fire. Unlike the figurative meaning of the song, these beds were literally burning!
